The number of students studying law on the other hand, rose to 200,000. More than a thousand schools are offering law courses, and the youth are being persuaded by their parents to take up law because of how prestigious the profession looks. Studying law in Brazil takes up to 5 years, and after graduating, students would have to undergo an examination created by an independent board. Once they passed the exam, they will be given the license to practice.
