The Squaw Valley Ski Resort had etched its place in history when it hosted the 1960 Olympics. When Andy Wirth became CEO of the resort in 2010 it had been struggling for decades to keep up with more current locations. He needed to use his accumulated experience to reinvigorate the resort while managing the 70 million dollars of renovations, much needed extensive upgrades, and remarkable improvements. Within the year, Squaw Valley merged with Alpine Meadows. Wirth’s renowned knowledge would be tested as he inherently became CEO of Alpine Meadows Ski Resort as well. A tall order for any one person but Andrew not only accepted the task, he intended to excel at it.

The next few critical years, Andy Wirth utilized all of his significant 25 years of experience to restore the Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Valley, California back to its coveted reputation of the top winter tourist destination in the world. A monumental achievement within an incredibly short time demonstrated to all that Wirth is more than a guiding force, but an extraordinary, innovative, titan.
