Everyone’s favorite TV dad is being investigated by the NYPD and Manhattan Special Victims Squad on child molestation charges. Stephen Collins, who is well known for is role as Reverend Eric Camden, allegedly admitted during a therapy session to molesting and exposing himself to at least three underage girls. At the time, Collin’s estranged wife had been taping their therapy sessions without Collin’s knowledge after being advised to do so by her lawyer.
One of these women, who occasionally stayed with the Collins and was a family friend, reportedly has told police that Collins would come into her room and expose himself to her when she was only 10 years old. She further claims that he would touch himself and her during these exchanges.
Collins played a father and minister on the popular TV show, 7th Heaven, which followed the lives of the Camden family and their 7 children. He has also appeared on many popular TV shows such as Law and Order, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Private Practice, and most recently, Revolution. In light of this investigation, 7th Heaven has been pulled from multiple TV network’s schedules.
